Communication in Nepal

Telecommunication has been rapidly developing in Nepal.Both landline and mobile telephone services are available in our country. For the most part, two companies are operating in all the parts of Nepal- Nepal Telecom (NTC) and Ncell. The network coverage includes most parts of Nepal, from city to villages (although in some remote part, there is lacking telephone communication).  +977 is the country code for Nepal and 01 for the Kathmandu city.

Internet services can be found in all the major cities of Nepal and even in many hill side areas. Wi-Fi services are often available in hotels,bars, restaurants, and hospitals. You can make a connection easily with your family and friends.

Postal service is available in major cities. The central post office of Nepal is located at Sundhara of Kathmandu, and it operates from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
