Everest View Trek is great for those who would like to view the glorious Mt. Everest (8848m) and its surrounding panoramas, but are restricted by time, health, etc. It is a short and sweet trek into the Khumbu region, enclosed with the breathtaking views of Everest region peaks and the fascinating Sherpa culture.
The Everest View Trek starts with a short scenic flight to the tiny airstrip of Lukla. From the beginning, you walk through the lush vegetation, potatoes fields, cross the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River and enter Sagarmatha National Park. Walking to Namche Bazaar, a bustling trading hub,you walk through the rhododendron and pine forests. For the acclimatization, a rest day will be highly favorable in order to walk further in the higher altitude. Tengbuche monastery (3867m) is the final destination of this trek, which is a spiritual place with colorful monastery. In this trek, you will not only be able to experience spectacular mountain views, but you will also get an opportunity to share the experiences with the legendry Sherpa people and take part in their traditional life pattern. Included in the itinerary is a hike to Khumjung and on the way, you can see Everest View Hotel (one of the highest-altitude hotels in the world). The beautiful views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, Ama Dablam and other peaks can be seen during the trek. Thus, it is known as Everest View Trek. The route is also shared with trekkers who will reach Everest Base Camp. Retracing to Lukla, you end the foothill journey and fly back to Kathmandu.
