The city of Kathmandu is full of historically significant temples and stupas from the medieval era. Travelling in this city is full of wonders, fromvenerable pagoda style temples and to the bustlingstreets and colorful outdoor markets. The city is full of surprises and we would like to experience these with you.  Our Kathmandu Valley Tour offers a base for you to explore the cultural diversity of this city and includes a number of famous sites in the Kathmandu area. The trip is guided by professional tour guides who take you to three or four UNESCO listed world heritage sites, depending on our pace and how long you would like to stay at each one. The sites include: Swayambhunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and the Kumari House. All the monumental sites are culturally significant and thousands of devotees pay their homage each year during pilgrimage tours. Swayambunath Temple is full of rich symbolism and is one of the oldest religious sites in Nepal. The temple offers an incredible view of the city of Kathmandu.  Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest Buddhist shrines in the world.  Here we can see monks and devotees circumnavigating the stupa.  Pasupatinath Temple is the most famous Hindu temple in the country, located on the banks of the Bagmati River.  You can see sadhus (holy men) meditating, pilgrims bathing, and sometimes funeral pyres burning.  Kathmandu Durbar Square is an old palace of the former Kathmandu Kingdom.  It is one of three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley.  Finally, we will visit Kumari House, home of the living goddess.  These sights withold stone and wooden sculptures, statues of deities, pagoda style shrines, and mandala formed stupas all are incredible and not to be missed on a trip to Nepal.
